About Me

Hi! I’m Brandon.

An officiant walks down the aisle holding a binder and smiling.

I get people married.

What, you wanted more?

My story as an officiant begins with my own wedding in 2023. My wife Heather and I wanted a wedding that was unquestionably us – from the venue (Wellers Weddings in Saline) to the music (mostly Taylor Swift) and all the way down to the late-night snack (Taco Bell Party Packs).

We weren’t able to get the Taco Bell, but just about every other aspect of our wedding was handcrafted by the two of us. When deciding on who would officiate our wedding and lead our ceremony, we wanted somebody who we could trust to make our unique vision a reality. We ended up choosing a good friend of ours who had never officiated a wedding before, and we worked together to create a ceremony that we would cherish for the rest of our lives.

In early 2025, I was honored to be asked to officiate two weddings for some of our very close friends. For both weddings, I took the same approach that we did with our officiant – working with the couples to craft a tailored ceremony script that would meet the moment and feel uniquely them, with special touches throughout. It was such a privilege to be part of their wedding days, and I loved every moment.

If I’m not at a wedding or working my day job as a toxicologist (not the same as a taxidermist), you can probably find me enjoying a video game I’ve probably already beaten several times (currently: Fallout 4), thrifting around Washtenaw County with Heather for vintage Christmas decorations, or spoiling our three perfect pets Hazel, Mocha, and Cocoa.
